Planned Systems International, a Government Contractor celebrating their 20th year of operations, has an immediate opportunity available for an experienced Database Administrator to support one of our Government customers in Washington, DC.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
The position entails providing Database administration, Oracle Application Server and Oracle Internet Directory (OID) support responsibilities for the Office of Information Technology at the Corporation for National Community Service. The individual will be responsible for ensuring zero down time for the Oracle applications, Oracle Internet Directory, and Oracle databases
production environment as well as Database performance tuning and monitoring responsibilities.
This entails monitoring and ensuring the database, application servers and OID are operational in the customer production environment. Oracle database, Application Server and Oracle Internet Directory Installation are all integral job responsibilities for this position. Analyzing system logs, running statspack reports and reviewing database error logs will also be a key functions for this position.
Position requires a BS 3 years experience (or an equivalent combination of education/certifications and experience).
Experience must include:Experience with Oracle Database 9i, 10g, 11i, Oracle Application Server 9i, 10g and Oracle Internet Directory. Experience with Windows NT/2000/2003 server. Several years of technical hands on and trouble shooting experience. Several years of performance tuning and maintenance experience. Excellent analytical skills required to trouble shoot technical issues. Excellent communication skills. Microsoft Office skills.
In addition, U.S. Citizenship is requiredExperience in installation, configuration and operation of Oracle
products in a Windows Environment. Experience leading a DBA team and reporting on tuning metrics also a
