Deskside Support Technician, Dallas

Day to Day Work Desk side support for hardware and software. IMACS new unit installs and imaging as well as de-installs. Inventory control. Position may perform activities in a directed workforce environment handling DTS and legacy calls on a wide range of equipment. Takes routine service calls and performs basic installations. Provides hardware break-fix, troubleshooting, hardware component replacement. Supports low-end document processing products. Performs installs, moves, adds and changes in a client environment. May provide basic deskside support of personal computers and associated software. Handles basic, non-complex products and/or problems. Maintains a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor and dress. Insures customer satisfaction throughout the service delivery transaction. Technical & Behavioral Skills A+ certification required, NO EXCEPTIONS. OEM certifications (Dell, Compaq, HP, etc.), other certifications and/or training as required. General knowledge of desktop hardware and software including working knowledge of Microsoft applications. Basic troubleshooting and repair ability. Ability to test PC, servers and associated peripherals and/or low end document processor products. Ability to resolve very basic/non-complex problems as required. Basic mechanical skills and understanding of electro static discharge (ESD) procedures. Electronics training equivalent to at least 2 years of technical institutes, polytechnic and/or military technical school. Client and/or governmental clearance as required.
