Position Summary
The Director of Product Marketing is responsible for managing product marketing and marketing managers. The Product Marketing function will develop strategic marketing plans for a product or product line through market research, pricing, customer engagement, and business planning. Oversee product marketing including product launch management, sales training, presentations, sales tools, competitive analysis and general sales support. Requires excellent marketing execution and business analysis skills with a proven track record of effectively promoting products. The PMM department will create and maintain the business plan for the markets served by our product line. DPM will articulate the company’s distinctive competence and the product’s unique advantage. In support of the business case, the DPM will perform qualitative and quantitative research with existing customers and potential prospects. In addition, the DPM will perform sales, trend, and profitability analysis. As the key business managers on the product line, the DPM and staff will interface with industry thought leaders and strategic partners. The DPM will work with decision makers in marketing communications and sales management to ensure that the product is correctly communicated to the market. The Product Marketing organization works closely with Product Management to ensure products are well targeted, launched and marketed across target market segments.


Qualifications Requires excellent marketing execution and business analysis skills with a proven track record of effectively promoting product Bachelor's degree in business or technical field. MBA a plus 8+ years managing and promoting high technology products, from development through launch and sales ramp up. History of product management accomplishments and initiative Demonstrated ability to meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines consistently Experience developing relationships with suppliers and co-marketing partners highly desirable Travel: 40%
