Description:
Riverbed is seeking a Director of Revenue Operations to manage our Revenue
Operations team. The Director of Revenue Operations will also be responsible managing the billings, revenue reconciliation and collection teams. This position will work closely with the technical revenue accounting team to assure that compliance of such transactions with current software revenue recognition accounting guidelines. In addition, this position will work closely with Sales Operations and IT to streamline overall system processes and improve system controls. This position includes managing the preparation of sales and customer analysis of revenue related data to senior management. Overall, this is a great opportunity to work within the Corporate Controller’s group building revenue related policies and procedures in a high energy environment.
Responsibilities
• Own the revenue cycle including overseeing invoicing, revenue reconciliations, credit, and cash collection
• Drive process improvements, including system related controls.
• Maintain solid revenue practices & procedures to ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Manage preparation of revenue and deferred revenue audit schedules necessary for auditors to complete their quarterly reviews and year-end audit procedures.
• Prepare financial statement disclosures relating to revenue,
including gathering and summarizing revenue recognition data, accounts
receivable, deferred revenue and other relevant areas.
• Ensure financial systems are appropriate for tasks performed and are developed, tested, and
implemented appropriately

Skills/Experience
Experience with managing billing, credit and collections functions
A minimum of 10 years work experience.
Must be hands-on, motivated and excited to be in a high growth environment. The individual must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with the senior finance and operations teams. He or she should be highly organized and a team player. An “assertive” style that works well with others and a positive, uplifting attitude will fit best.
