Electrical Test Technician Functions:

 

Candidates possessing a 2 year electronics associate degree are required.  Candidate must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in electronic systems test or in an engineering environment. This position works with engineering test management to develop test plans and reports.  Work as part of a team in a lab environment. Strong background in electronic devices and test equipment is required. AC/DC power supply testing background a plus. RAID storage background preferred. Must be computer literate with proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  High speed RF signal analysis and eye pattern data analysis a plus!

 

Responsibilities:

 Support development projects including coordinating and executing EVT test plans and writing detailed test reports.Configure and run storage productsTrack any system failures and follow through with root cause analysisAssist with board bring up and troubleshooting analog and digital circuitsRead and understand schematicsAbility to work with PCB layout tools a plus Perform test procedures to validate electronic circuit operation to the functional specification and test plan.Work with design engineers to report and obtain data to work on closure of issues foundOperate environmental chamberSupport board rework and repair, including fine pitch surface mount componentsHelp maintain lab with PC support, packaging of products for shipment.Help maintain documentation of rework per various BOM levels, Help programming chips, and interface with vendors periodically.


Skills/Qualifications: Excellent written & oral communication skills required. English a mustLoad PC operating systems, install HBA’s and drivers.Read and understand schematicsStrong analog and digital backgroundAC/DC power supply testing a plusHands on knowledge of various test equipment, O-scopes, Multimeters, TDR, data loggers and logic analyzers(preferred)Ability to debug to the component levelUnderstand the differences between H/W, F/W and S/WOrganized and detail orientedAbility to change tasks to meet new priorities Mechanical assemblyLoad PC operating systems, install HBA’s and drivers.Proficiency in MS Office applications

 

 

Education:

 

2 year associated degree from an accredited institution.

3 to 4 years experience.

High School Diploma
