Embedded Software Architect - Storage Applications

SemiconductorTALENT.com, a division of Intelligent Technology Solutions, is a North American leader in providing executive search services to the microelectronics and engineering sectorsWe are seeking a Embedded Software Architect - Storage Applications for our Rochester, MN based clientRESPONSIBILITIES:- Specification, Architecture and design of storage software solutions, from embedded firmware for SoCs to host storage management solutions.- Technical lead teams in firmware dev and host software- Optimize system performanceQUALIFICATIONS:- BS or better in CS, CE or EE- 10+ years of software/firmware system development for real-time streaming media systems, or comparable storage experience- 3+ years in a technical leadership position with architecture design responsibility- Detailed working knowledge of software and/or firmware design and implementation.- Demonstrated ability to conceive, design, implement and document complex storage systems.- Proficient programmer in C and assembly(preferably for embedded devices)- Knowledge of RTOS constructs including processes, threads, scheduling, synchronization mechanisms, memory management.- Excellent communication skills- Willingness to set and meet deadlines.- Highly motivated, sets personal goals, and achieves goals without supervision- Demonstrated ability to complete software product development (through commercial release)- Capable of working with customers and technology partners in architecture developmentDESIRABLE:- Experience in storage protocol development such as SCSI, Fiber-Channel, SAS/SATA, RAID and/or enclosure management- Experience with RAID/HBA and SAS/SATA/SCSI architectures- Have implemented RAID protection algorithms- Knowledge of OS driver architectures in Windows/LinuxApply for this job nowSemiconductorTALENT.com confidentiality policy About SemiconductorTALENT.com SemiconductorTALENT.com, a division of Intelligent Technology Solutions, is a highly specialized and successful recruitment agency.
