Ceridian is seeking an Enterprise Configuration Manager to develop and deliver configuration and change management services to distributed development teams and their associated development and testing environments. The role supports multiple projects and requires interactions and partnerships with teams and personnel from multiple business locations, skill sets, and backgrounds. As such, the position requires strong communication skills in addition to a solid foundation of technical skills, analytical abilities, and knowledge of SCM techniques. Responsibilities:Develops, evaluates, and implements improved processes, methods, tools and best practices to continually improve systems delivery. Coordinates the convergence of diverse tools and technologies into emerging enterprise standards. Directs the documentation of integration technologies, standards and maintenance procedures. Facilitates the development of data architecture standards, guidelines and processes to build and support Ceridian development.Engages all owners of the Systems Development Life Cycle; business owners, software architects, developers, testers, and operational personnel. Communicates status and reports progress by producing metrics and benchmarks for submission to executive management. Collaborates with multiple levels of management and technical staff to aid in decisions around new and emerging technologies and corporate technology architecture in support of business architecture strategy. Maintenance of existing SDLC tools and practices, including design and customization or Ceridian’s enterprise ClearQuest deployment creation and management of builds and support of the deployment process; Creation and maintenance of configuration management plans and other CM documentation; Update and expansion of Change Management policies and procedures, including implementation of project-driven requirements, corporate standards, and industry best practices; Development of metrics and measures to evaluate the effectiveness of Enterprise Tier 1 Solutions processes and procedures; and Investigation and characterization of problems occurring in the Enterprise Tier 1 toolset and implementing corrective and preventive actions in support of 1600+ internal users. Minimum Qualifications:B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree/work experience5+ years experience implementing configuration and change management processes and tools required3+ years of experience with Rational ClearQuest administration, including schema design and complex hook scripting (VBScript) and experience with RequisitePro. ClearQuest – ReqPro integration preferred3+ years technology project management experience with multiple large system projectsMust have additional experience with one or more of the following: Visual SourceSafe, Rational ClearCase, or Microsoft Visual Studio Team System. ClearCase Multisite and CC/CQ UCM experience strongly preferred.Working knowledge of IBM/Rational product suite Extensive technical knowledge and experience in Windows Server and Microsoft office applications is required; prior experience with VMware strongly preferred Experience with build automation tools such as Visual Build or CruiseControl; experience with IBM/Rational BuildForge preferredLinux / Unix Scripting (PERL, GREP, AWK, SED, etc.) Experience with database and enterprise architecture
