Field Applications Engineer – US Regional- East Coast

 

Cutting edge company located in Austin, TX is seeking is seeking experienced Field Applications Engineers (FAE’s) to provide all aspects of technical support for our growing list of partners and end users.  This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing start-up company that is working on the next generation of high performing Ethernet technologies.  The FAE will be involved in working with partners and customers on all phases of networking solutions including design, evaluation, pilot and production. Candidates must be extremely organized with an ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

 

· Excellent Verbal and Written Communications skills

· Thorough knowledge of Linux and Windows Operating Systems

· Thorough knowledge of Protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, MPI, uDAPL, SDP, iSCSI, and/or iSER

· Thorough knowledge of all aspects of Ethernet networking

· Strong understanding of storage technologies including NAS and SAN

· Strong troubleshooting skills especially as it pertains to networking, Linux/Unix and storage (NAS)

· Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster technologies including Ethernet, InfiniBand, Myrinet and Quadrics

· Experience with clustered file systems such as NFS (especially NFS over RDMA), Lustre, GPFS, and GFS

· Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment with a limited amount of daily supervision

· Ability to work with many different groups within the organization including Engineering, Marketing and Operations

 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

BS or MS in EE/CS with 10+ years of “hands-on” experience.
