International high tech company with headquarters in Walnut, CA seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our corporate team respsonsible for a wide range of complex corporate reporting. High profile responsibilities include: Financial reporting, planning, and analysis of sales, cost of sales, profit margins, sales trends, sales projections, customer profitability, business units and product lines. Identifies problem areas and recommends improvement actions as appropriate. Assist in the preparation of key deliverables for the Annual Budget and Worldwide Financial Plan (forecast and flash) on a bi-weekly basis for both Corporate and the Americas region. Partner with regional Product Line Managers to provide financial analysis and support in profitability analysis and key pricing decisions for various product lines. Additional responsibilities include ad hoc analysis, preparation and review of worldwide cash forecast and management reporting for Corporate and all regions.Required Skills
This position requires a highly motivated individual who is a self-starter and possesses the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional business partners, operations and senior management. A strong attention to detail and critical analytical skills are required to identify profit and process improvement opportunities. This individual must be able to identify problems, determine a course of action, present a plan to management and implement the solution. Must be able to multi-task, organize, be detailed-oriented, perform a variety of tasks in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines.
Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to summarize ideas and issues to senior management are essential. The ability to work well in teams, both within the group and with other business units is as essential. Requires great organizational and analytical skills. Ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated willingness to seek out new responsibilities and challenges; the ability to react and adjust in a fast pace changing environment.
Experience requires bachelors degree (Finance or Accounting preferred) or equivalent plus a minimum of five years of relevant work experience. CPA or CPA in progress is desirable. Public accounting experience preferred. A strong working knowledge of Excel; familiarity with Oracle, Discoverer and OFA experience is a plus.
