Financial Inside Sales Account Manager
Position Description: Financial Inside Sales Account ManagerLocation: Columbia, SCReference: #128942 Job SummaryThe Financial Inside Sales Account Manager will be responsible for maximizing sales opportunities in a designated territory within NCR’s US Financial Self-Service (ATM) account market, consisting of non-major account banks, savings and loans, and credit unions. These activities will be conducted with the goals of generating/qualifying sales leads for the field Territory Sales Manager (TSM) or business partner and closing sales in a phone-based sales environment. The Account Manager will possess financial industry and self-service product/service knowledge combined with consultative selling skills, so as to allow for the development of well-qualified opportunities for advanced business solutions across the entire range of financial customers. Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibilities of the Inside Account Manager will be to contact new and existing customers to identify/develop product and service opportunities, close sales, and increase coverage/penetration of defined customer and market segments. This will be done in close coordination with the TSM, primarily through outbound calling, but also by fielding inbound calls generated from targeted marketing programs. Qualified leads may be developed or passed to the TSM or qualified NCR business partners for close. In addition, the Account Manager will be responsible for installation and post-sale account management issues. Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business and/or technology related field• 2+ years in either a field- or phone-based sales environment, including a proven success record for reaching sales goals. Includes experience in dealing directly with customers in a pre- and post-sales role.• Proficiency in using a variety of Microsoft Windows and web-based applications, including the entire Microsoft Office suite Knowledge and Skill Preferences:• Knowledge of the banking industry• Experience in selling hardware/software/applications• Demonstrated organizational skills• Previous use of a contact or customer management computer application Performing these duties and fulfilling these responsibilities will involve the following activities: • Placing outbound phone calls to new and existing accounts, and identifying multiple decision makers and opportunities within these accounts. Calls will be based on account coverage plans and targeted campaigns.• Fielding inbound calls generated from targeted marketing programs to develop new opportunities• Understanding the Community Banking industry and articulating the business value of NCR’s ATM solutions to business users• Closing profitable NCR solution business incorporating hardware, software, professional services, and customer services• Developing customer opportunity plans and presenting high quality, professional presentation and proposal materials, which may include web-based demonstrations• Partnering and working in close coordination with a defined set of field TSMs to maximize opportunities, increase sales effectiveness, drive customer contact/coverage, and facilitate TSM/Account Manager communication• Coordinating fulfillment activities and following up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction• Transferring the lead to the appropriate business partner and supporting them in their introduction to the account/opportunity, then monitoring the progress and outcome of the lead• Managing the account interaction when an opportunity is identified by a business partner• Managing the customer relationship to increase customer loyalty and satisfaction, which includes post-sale problem resolution• Tracking all customer contacts, leads, and opportunities in a customer contact management system (GoldMine)• Entering product and service sales into NCR’s order management systems• Attending industry seminars, product training sessions, sales training workshops, and other learning opportunities to increase industry and product knowledge
