Global Technology Services Engineer

Global Technology Services Engineer - Windows Client and Server Support The Global Technology Services Engineer position is responsible for the administration and support of the client and associated server based systems for the Monster Worldwide business in North America.  Candidate must be innovative and prepared to step out of the box to work on solutions to ensure maximum availability of client workstations / laptops, AD peripherals, file, print and application servers.  Decisive desktop troubleshooting and an intimate knowledge of the latest Microsoft client technologies are essential to success.  This position requires a highly self-motivated, strong team player, driven to excellence with the ability to work with all levels within the organization.  Must be able to handle many tasks simultaneously and prioritize work at all stages.  Must be able to execute and deliver on core Windows technology infrastructure issues.   Essential Functions   To maintain and improve system availability, adhering to policies and procedures. Assist in the installation, configuration and administration of back office server infrastructure that supports the business. Ensure the delivery of desktop support functions and ensure their services are delivered efficiently and effectively. Assess the impact of system changes prior to their implementation, minimizing downtime Provide technical expertise to the wider European teams on support issues and other related infrastructure services. Maintain excellent relationships with colleagues and customers. Perform out of hours support as required. Communicate and maintain standards across platforms. Coordinate backup and recovery procedures. Define, publish and operate standard procedures. Capacity planning. Perform hardware and software troubleshooting as required.       Qualifications   ·3+ years Microsoft OS server and client experience. Experience of production support in a corporate environment. Strong Windows, 2000, 2003 and XP knowledge. Good administrative, communication and organizational skills. Attention to detail. Ability to use own initiative and work independently on desktop and server issues. Ability to multitask and drive projects to completion. “Can do” attitude. Works well in a pressurized environment. Good understanding of Windows server architecture and networking environment. Educated to degree level preferred(business or IT related degree most desirable).  Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) 2000/2003 preferred. Dell / IBM Server hardware maintenance desired. Microsoft Office Suite. Windows 2003/XP support. Previous experience with Avaya Telephone systems preferable. Backup Exec / Net Backup. McAfee antivirus suite.
