HP Labs-Research Associate - Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

We invent, engineer and deliver technology solutions that drive business value, create social value and improve the lives of our customers.We seek a summer intern in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science for our research group at HP Labs Palo Alto California, which is developing new processes and components for HP Indigo commercial digital presses.  These are laser printers that use liquid inks, weigh 10,000 pounds, and print lithographic quality output at 2 meters per second.  They represent an exciting emerging market for HP.  Our group includes top-flight industrial physicists, mechanical and electrical engineers, and materials scientists. The intern will be developing software to calibrate and test a new optical color sensor we have invented for HP Indigo presses.  Knowledge of C/C++ and at least one Microsoft Windows GUI programming environment (Visual Basic or Java) is required.  Ability to program and debug embedded microprocessors or knowledge of color science and color reproduction is a plus.The intern will be developing software to calibrate and test a new optical color sensor we have invented for HP Indigo presses.  Knowledge of C/C++ and at least one Microsoft Windows GUI programming environment (Visual Basic or Java) is required.  Ability to program and debug embedded microprocessors or knowledge of color science and color reproduction is a plus. © 2007 Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.
