Description: The HVAC Applications Engineer with NiagaraAx programming experience is responsible for the design of Novar building HVAC automation systems, as well the development of procedures used in the installation, commissioning, and documentation of controls projects. Specializing in the design and implementation of Tridium’s Niagra AX systems, the Applications Engineer applies his or her experience with this specific product line to develop templates and processes for rapid deployment of Niagra AX based controls.
Essential Job Functions include:Analyzes point-to-point wiring diagrams, written sequences of operation, and applications programs. Researches existing or specified mechanical systems to determine best integration of controls with the NiagaraAx platform.Maps out device drivers to existing or specified controls for building and HVAC automation.Create application and customer-specific templates using Niagra AX based software tools.Develops installation manuals, training documentation, and quality assurance forms for use by subcontractors and customers.Deploys server-related software and IT infrastructure needed to establish central system supervisors.Establishes infrastructure required for SQL-based reporting.Supports Controls Programmers in remote phone system checkout of system installations with on-site commissioning agents.If relevant, serves as in-house reference for issues arising in customer jobs sites or system designs related to HVAC, refrigeration, electrical distribution, power quality or similar. Provides technical support to salesmen, installers, and customers.Participates in solution of job-related problems.
