Hardware Design Engineer (Analog and Digital)

 

Colorado vNet is a fast paced, well-funded Loveland, Colorado based company participating in the building automation market (see www.ColoradovNet.com)

 

The company’s products include everything from integrated lighting, control and digital A/V systems using our award winning input devices such as the high styled keypads and high performance active-matrix touchscreens. Several new product categories are also under development. The company is a strong innovator with 31 patents either granted or pending. We are currently seeking an Hardware Design Engineer to develop mixed signal microcontroller based products.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and transfer to production new products containing microprocessors and/or embedded controllers

• Debug, test, and validation of new designs

• Designing for testability and manufacturability

• Schematic entry and PCB design

• Work with vendors for lowest cost solutions

• Work closely with mechanical, software, and production engineers

 

Requirements:

• BSEE

• At least 7 years mixed signal board level design, debug, and test experience

• At least 2 years AC power supply design experience

• Experience with microcontroller designs

• Good lab skills (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, debug, etc.)

• Good communications skills

 

Pluses:

• Mixed high and low voltage design experience e.g., triacs, SCRs, etc.

• RF design experience

• DSP design experience

• Verilog or VHDL experience

• FCC and/or UL certification experience

• Higher level degrees
