We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Hitachi Solutions Enterprise Engineer for our Los Angeles, CA Team.

Must have at least 4 years of practical IT experience, with relevant experience designing/architecting & implementing storage & data management solutions. Must have practical exposure to storage and data management products, including HDS, EMC, Sun, IBM, Intel based servers and storage, SAN and NAS technologies. Formal technical degree or equivalent in an IT/Computer-related subject is required. SAN, NAS, VERITAS and other storage-related certifications or accreditations are a major plus.

Specific REQUIREMENTS for this position are as follows: 5+ years hands-on design and implementation experience working with relevant technologies Strong knowledge of OS fundamentals for UNIX and Microsoft platforms Strong experience in Storage technologies and products from HDS and EMC. Knowledge of SUN and IBM storage is a plus. Strong experience in SAN and NAS technologies. Strong experience in Veritas storage and data protection products. Knowledge of Legato products is a plus. Certifications are a big plus. Hands-on knowledge of x86 hardware. Experience as a power-user of one of the following: Linux, Windows, or Solaris. Knowledge of automated tape libraries. Ability to research and analyze hardware and software issues Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to effectively work on and prioritize multiple concurrent projects Self-motivation and team-player attitude Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new technologies and paradigms Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. This position will be working under the direction of a Systems and Storage Practice Manager, but will be expected to prioritize and perform research on technical problems with minimal guidance. It will also be required to perform design and implementation of server and storage solutions with minimal guidance. Minimal travel throughout the US will be required (Boston, New York, etc.). This position requires that you have a valid driver’s license. After hours on-call availability may be required.
