IBM Practice Manager

Job Summary: 

The key objective of the IBM Practice Manager is to grow ePlus’ IBM revenue and market presence across the United States by selling and marketing IBM products and solutions in to current and future customer sites.  This person will work with sales, marketing and sales programs to support IBM sales goals at ePlus.



Job Responsibilities:



Strategic planning and business development on behalf of IBM



Manage ePlus/IBM partnership including marketing, sales and promotional programs, training, certification requirements, and internal sales requirements



Understand IBM's key drivers in marketplace and provide support to EPlus to deliver IBM’s value propositions



Provide internal training to EPlus teams



Develop two year sales / marketing growth plan with IBM national account team



Guide MDF spending to support IBM and ePlus sales goals



Attain certifications on IBM solutions



Facilitate regional engagement with IBM sales offices



Increase IBM revenue nationally



Drive telesales, lead generation, sales and marketing programs to uncover new sales opportunities through new and existing customers



Produce and monitor monthly activity sales reports of IBM products/solutions





 

Qualifications/Requirements



Presentation skills



Demonstrated ability to qualify, penetrate and close new accounts



Knowledge of e-business solution environment and financing



Ability to manage and motivate sales and technical teams



Minimum of 8 years technology sales experience



Minimum of 3 years management experience



Demonstrated ability to learn new sales technologies



Experience with the development and roll out of national sales and marketing campaigns



Budget management experience



 

Job Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of HP Server and Blade product line preferred





Experience with pre and post sales support





Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills





Self starter, motivated person who has an eye for detail as well as getting the job done





Excellent organizational skills





Seasoned in strategy and architecture steering, review, enforcement and documentation.



Proven collaboration and consensus-driving with technology teams, business groups and senior executives.



Working understanding of business processes and operations



Ability to motivate engineering resources to out-perform and exceed client expectations.



Politically astute. Able to recognize and work with political issues within client organizations.



Education and Experience:

Current Certifications preferred in respective technologies



5-10 years of Sales and Business Management experience in the IBM environment.



4 year degree preferred
