IPT Network Engineer

World Wide Technology, Inc. currently has an opportunity available for a mid level Cisco IPT Network Engineer in St. Louis, MO for our Manged Services group.
Responsibilities:Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software related issues of Cisco Advanced technologies to include IP telephony, routing & switching, security and wireless networks. Open and close incident and change request cases within a specific time frame, while detailing the issue for the ease of knowledge transfer.Monitoring, analyzing, assessing, determining and implementing corrective actions suitable to the customers’ environment.Engineer may be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of an on-call rotation.Minimal travel may be required to provide additional personnel support to our delivery implementation team.
Qualifications:Qualified candidates will have 3 to 5 years of hands-on IPT experience.Qualified candidates should feel comfortable in providing remote support in a helpdesk environment.Qualified candidates should possess in-depth knowledge and experience in Call Manager, IPCC Express or Enterprise, IVR, Unity, MeetingPlace, and Legacy PBX Integration.Experience with Cisco products such as Routers, Catalyst Switches, Security Solutions and Wireless Solutions or willingness to learn are preferred. Experience with Network Management Utilities and Remote Monitoring Tools. Experience with Network Documentation Tools. Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, and presentation skills required. Ability to prioritize and carry out daily responsibilities. Cisco CCVP, CCNP and Specialty Certifications are preferred.
