DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide day-to-day primary support for the Operations Applications and other 3rd party software products as determined by IT management. This includes systems development to address bug fixes, enhancement requests and new systems. The applications may be either Windows GUI or Web GUI or a mixture of both.
- Provide secondary secondary support for other applications and 3rd party software products as determined by IT management.
- Work with users to understand their needs and with IT personnel to develop effective system solutions for assigned applications.
- Manage the self-service capabilities in order to empower the organization to access Operations compliance applications information directly.
- Develop reports that transform Operations applications data into information upon which management can base strategic decisions and improve operational efficiency.
- Stay abreast of related technology and recommend future system enhancements, software purchases or system upgrades.
- Provide technical input to assist in development of project plans.


 POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor's degree, Computer Science or business related.
- Microsoft Certification a Plus (MCAD, MCSD)
- 4-7 years related work experience with record of increasing responsibilities.
- Development experience with the following:
--Microsoft Visual Studio (.NET, 2003, and 2005)
--Classic ASP and ASP.NET
--VB and/or C#, VB6 (a plus)
-- Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Manager 2000/2005
--T-SQL and/or PL-SQL database languages
--HTML and DHTML
--VB Script
--Java Script
--Microsoft Access 2000 or later
--Business Objects or Crystal Reports a plus
--SharePoint Team Services and Portal development a plus
--SharePoint Web Part development a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to positively interface with outside vendors and contractors, IT, user management, peers and subordinates.
- Able to interview customers to gather requirements then create detailed requirements documents for purchased applications or new development projects.
- Have good organization skills with ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently while achieving deadlines.
- Be a proactive, solution-oriented self-starter with the ability to quickly assemble the big picture.
- Possess a strong sense of urgency.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including strong technical communications skills to effectively interface with both Operations and IT Personnel.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Prefer gas industry knowledge and experience, especially with Document Management and Operations applications.
