Information Technology Strategist Deloitte Services LP provides a wide variety of internal support services to Deloitte LLP and its subsidiaries and their people. As a member of the Chief Technology Office, provides technical leadership, thought leadership and in-depth expertise in the researchand deployment of emerging technology solutions for Deloitte's current and future information technology systems and services. RESPONSIBILITIES - Investigate and research emerging and newer technologies in support of Deloitte's technology roadmap and business systems. Maintain up-to-date knowledge with relevant current and emerging technologies by tracking key vendor and industry directions and strategic technology roadmaps - Document and present proposals for viable (applicable) technology improvements to current systems and technologies - Develop and execute technology viability assessment plans as reference prototype/proof of concepts or through pilot projects, to prove usefulness in solving key business issues - Builds frameworks for those technologies that provide flexibility to meet the constant flow of change within the business or technologies. - Recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and system flexibility for current and future business needs - Review proposed and existing IT projects and recommend appropriate proven technologies. Contribute to the definition of timetables and cost estimates for new technical aspects of projects. - Mentor and train IT staff members on the use of new technologies, including methods and standards for applicable technologies. - Stimulates interest in these technologies, indicating the values and potential applications for them - Provides architectural and technical expertise, direction and assistance during the development life cycle - Serves as a visionary for IT technologies that are on the horizon, or that may be applicable in the future for Deloitte - 8+ years of experience and a Bachelors degree in a related technical area or equivalent. MS/CS or MBA preferred. - Has contributed to the creation of technology-related best practices and processes - Has strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to a diverseaudience. - Has in-depth knowledge and experience with multiple technology platforms. Has played a leading role in the development and implementation of technical standards and platforms - Has consulted on the technical design of high-impact, multi-technology complex applications or systems. Provides consulting and mentoring support to technology staff - Has experience with multiple technologies in Unix, Windows, Windows Mobile and Linux environments - Has published, assisted, or lead the creation of multiple strategic roadmaps and technology directionsHas in-depth expertise with technologies such as: Service Oriented Architecture, Web Services, Application Integration Protocols, Application Frameworks, Portals, Web 2.0, Unified Communications, other Collaboration tools. - Has in-depth expertise with these languages, services and tools: Java, PL/SQL, SQL, C/C++, HTML, DHTML, XML, JDeveloper, Developer, SOA Suite, Fusion, J2EE, SOAP, Ajax, WSDL About DeloitteDeloitte refers to one or more of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, a Swiss Verein, and its network of member firms, each of which is a legally separate and independent entity.
