This Infrastructure Integration Specialist will lead and configure the IT Service Managements tools including a Service Desk system, Configuration Management Database (CMDB), and Network & Systems Monitoring tools WhatsUp Gold, Tivoli, and related tools. - Provide technical support of multiple products and technical environments (including one with widespread use) on a weekday and on-call basis. Manage incident and problem resolution process for support related issues with minimal help from other senior technical team members. Ensure these products or technical environments are optimally integrated with the rest of the technological environment. Recommend changes to the company's technological environment as appropriate. As needed: design, code, test and document programs and scripts. - Provide technical leadership and be a major contributor to IT projects. Demonstrate the ability to develop project plans and execute against those plans to facilitate the overall success of the organization. - Stay current with the products and with the other technologies in this market segment. Recommend changes to our product mix as appropriate. Recommend new or different methods of using these products or technologies. Continually increase the depth and breadth of knowledge and understanding of the products and/or technology areas. - Prepare, gain approval for and implement plans for new products or technologies. Assist IT and business staff to become successful using these technologies. Work with the Training Coordinator to develop an effective training program. Participate in other Information Technology related activities required to support the company's business. - Mentor within the team providing objective feedback to peers. Leads design or review sessions. Communicates clearly and effectively in writing and verbally with peers, managers, and customers. - Desired technical expertise includes knowledge of workflow tools, service desk packages (Remedy, Peregrine, Vantive, etc), enterprise-level network and systems monitoring frameworks (BMC Patrol, IBM Tivoli, HP Openview, CA Unicenter, etc), and SNMP. - The ideal candidate would need to be familiar but not necessarily a master of the related technologies such as: relational databases (Oracle, MS SQL), Windows servers, Unix systems administration, and both Java and Microsoft IIS based web applications hosting. - Candidates with an orientation to process, documentation, customer service, measurement & reporting are preferred. - Some knowledge of ITIL would be valuable. - Previous experience working in an enterprise IT Infrastructure environment is necessary and some experience working in a call center, service desk, or enterprise operations center would be preferred. Education: Degree in Information Systems, CS, CE or related field. Experience: Eight to ten years experience in systems development or product support, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience. Working knowledge of Operating Systems, Networking, Web Infrastructure, and Internet Technologies.
