Installation and Service Technician - Support

Rockville based manufacturing company requires hands on support and installation technician for support of growing product line.  Selected individual would provide hands-on service to proprietary hardware as well as providing remote technical support when needed.  Ability to work with hands and with proprietary diagnostic software.  Willingness to travel.





Job Purpose:

Serves customers by installing and servicing systems and products.



Duties:

* Serves existing accounts by investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.



* Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.



* Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; provides training for system use and system maintanence.



* Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.



* Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.



Skills/Qualifications:

Electronics Troubleshooting, Analyzing Information, Judgment, Client Relationships, Equipment Maintenance, Reporting Skills, Quality Focus, Results Driven.


Knowledge of PC hardware and software troubleshooting techniques desired.



Knowledge of RF communications, ethernet/wireless TCP/IP communications desired.
