Java/J2EE Developer (permanent position)Chicago, IL (downtown)**US Citizens preferred Base salary range will 80-95K Manager is looking for a driven, hardworking individual--someone who has desire to succeed and advance his or her career.  Does not want a lifetime contractor.  Description Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions. Will not have direct reports but may lead projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. Will collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application. Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more senior project members. Typically requires 4-5 years of experienceQualifications In-depth knowledge of Java J2EE and frameworks such as Struts 2 & Spring (3 yrs min) In-depth knowledge Hibernate a must (1+ yrs min) Knowledge of web presentation technologies (CSS, Freemarker, HTML, etc..) (1+ yrs min) Comfortable with Unix and Unix Shell scripting Familiar with Sybase database and strong SQL skills Excellent communication skills Familiar with basic project management processes Motivated to make a difference Desired Skills Capital markets experience preferred. Strong math skills. Experience with Bloomberg preferred.
