Java Software Engineer

ProLogic, Inc. is currently seeking well qualfied canidates for multiple Java Software Engineer positions within the Command Systems Group. The Command Systems Group focuses on programs that deal with the military intelligence community and the services and systems that they use and rely on. Current programs include emphasis on disparate data integration and dissemination, intelligent data handling (transmission/compression), and multi-dimensional geo-spatial displays.

•Works within team environment, and sometimes as individual contributor
•Perform requirements analysis, design, development, and testing of J2EE/.NET based software applications
•Update and maintain existing software components
•Mentor junior engineers
•Report to Project Manager

•BS or equivalent and 0-2+ years experience in software engineering.
•Knowledge of software architecture and experience with J2EE and .NET
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Experience interfacing directly with end users and customers
•Some travel required (10%) both inside and outside of the continental US

Desired Skills:
Java / C# / C++
Web services, UDDI
JDBC, Swing, Servlets
UML (Class diagrams, sequence diagrams)
Application Servers, JBoss/WebLogic
Oracle / SQL Server

Knowledge of military C4I applications / operations
Knowledge of Imagery formats/conversion/manipulation

Special Requirements:
US Citizenship
Must be willing to obtain and hold a DoD security clearance
Active clearance preferred
