Junior IT Technician

Description

Candidate must have basic hardware/software and network troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly and thoroughly apply those skills to a variety of challenging IT-related issues.

High-Level Technical Requirements



The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with the following technologies:



·  Hardware Troubleshooting

·  Printer Troubleshooting

·  Windows XP/2003 Operating Environment

·  Windows Domain Management – Active Directory

·  Network Shares and Permissions Management

·  Internal DNS/DHCP Management
Tasks and Desired Attributes

Responsible for issue logging, tracking, analysis, reporting and management.  Maintains records and provides reporting on repairs, down time, changes and updates.

Change management and change control for systems.  Responsible for documenting policies & procedures, end-user documentation, installation instructions, network and system design documents, system & script documentation, and test plans.

Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies.

Excellent analytical abilities and problem solving skills.

Flexibility to work in a changing, fast-paced environment, ability to balance multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency.

Education/Experience:

Coursework in Computer Science (CS), Computer Information Systems (CIS) or related discipline.

Desired Certifications for position consideration:
CompTIA A+CompTIA Network+CompTIA Server+
