Junior to Mid Level Linux Administrator

Telophase Corporation is seeking a junior to mid-level Linux Administrator for a Full Time permanent position. The Linux Administrator will have strong Linux installation and configuration skills.  The position requires a highly motivated individual with minimum 2 years Linux experience to support the off-site facility IT operations at Goddard Corporate Park. A successful candidate must have strong knowledge of IT security; system backup procedures; configuration, data and log management skills. This position is based in Greenbelt, Maryland.

Requirements:
•  BS in Computer Science with at least three (3) years of experience
•  Strong technical writing skills (documentation, reporting)
•  Linux, Apache, MySql and PHP (LAMP) application knowledge and experience
•  Must have troubleshooting experience
•  Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Desired Skills:
•  Windows & Mac administration experience desired
•  Directory services & authentication management; understanding of Networks
•  Familiarity with current and planned NASA IT requirements and common open source tools is a plus

Other Skills:
•  Superior communication skills – both written and verbal – for interaction with prospects and customers.
•  High level of drive and initiative; ability to deliver with limited direction.
•  Must be highly motivated, self-starter, results-oriented, able to work independently or as part of a team
•  Experience in developing and giving presentations helpful.
•  Ability to learn client business quickly
