Lead System Test Engineer

We invent, engineer and deliver technology solutions that drive business value, create social value and improve the lives of our customers.Business Environment As part of a group within the HP Personal Systems Groupin Fort Collins CO this postion functions on a small team that produces a number of personal storage devices including the new HP Media Smart Server utilizing Microsoft’s new Home Server Operating System and The HP Media Vault family of products.   The focus of this position would be to function as the lead test engineer on a the Windows Based Home Server Products.   Job DescriptionThis position will function within the R&D group and provide program leadership to a onsite 3rd. party team of test engineers in support of the HP hardware and software engineering groups.  This support includes test design, test development, test documentation, coordinating the 3rd party’s test group’s  weekly activities and functioning as the overall program and project manager for test activities related to this family of products. Specific responsibilities are, but not limited to, the following: SW/HW Testing and Systems-level Qualification Design of test plans and experiments Performance Testing testing, calibration, troubleshooting and/or preventative maintenance. Qualification of Proto, Pre-prod, and Production Systems Issues and Defect Tracking Systems Level Debug Defect ManagementProgram Management your profileBachelor's (undergraduate) degree and professional qualificationsExperience as a System test Engineer on Windows or Linux Based hardware/software platformsExperience in writing automated tests a plus. Preferably, experience in a high tech manufacturing facility Proficiency with a variety of standard and non-standard equipment, devices and programs Knowledge and application of process control principles. Demonstrated trouble shooting skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Teamwork, specifically the ability to collaborate effectively with a technical team Ability to train others in technical processes and/or equipment maintenance. Prioritizes and organizes own work.
