Level 1 and Level 2 Helpdesk Technician

Candidates will be responsible for providing Level 1 and Level 2 Desktop support in a fast paced, financial institution. Responsibilities include Computer Hardware and Microsoft Software support, including strong understanding of the MS Office Suite. Candidates must have firm grasp on Desktop networking configuration and troubleshooting, as well as having managed user accounts in Active Directory. Experience in configuring PDA/Blackberry devices and managing via Blackberry Enterprise Manager is desirable. Any experience in Banking Back Office systems, Trading systems, or Real Time Market Data feeds is very beneficial. Familiarity with Terminal Services or Citrix is also a plus.

 

Candidates must possess excellent customer service skills as this is a dynamic and demanding environment with most support being provided at the user’s location. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team but also take individual responsibility required. Candidates must also possess excellent communications skills, verbal and written.

 

Job Requirements:

Candidates must have at least one year experience in an enterprise environment providing hands on Desktop Support. A 2 year degree is preferred. Candidates must have previous experience working with a ticketing system similar to Heat, Remedy, or TrackIt!. This is an hourly paid position and overtime is compulsory when required. Shift will be either 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. Locations for position will be in Jersey City and/or Manhattan.
