Linux Systems Admin / Network Admin

Mid-to-high level position, able to cover dual network and systems administration roles. Reporting to the Director of Global Systems, this person will be a senior member in a small administration team with global responsibilities. Remote systems distributed across the globe are managed by this team.

Design, build, support and enhance existing and new systems and network architecture, from the ground up, in a datacenter environment, according to company guidelines and requirements. Contribute to the development of those standards and understand how to build and manage scalable systems using commodity hardware and open source software. Be able to think fast and independently in a rapidly changing, Internet-based environment. Strong communication and documentation skills are vital, as contact at all levels of the company will be routine.

Some travel required to the datacenter in Dallas, typically no more than 25% per month. Out of hours support and work, as needed, in line with the typical requirements of a position of this nature.

Requirements

5+ years overall Linux/Unix administration experience in a production Internet-facing environment
3+ Red Hat Linux administration, preferably RHEL5
3+ years overall network administration experience in a production Internet-facing environment
Data center experience

Cisco switch administration (esp. 3750G)
SonicWall firewalls and SSL-VPNs administration
Asterisk/OpenSER/SIP/RTP exposure
Hyperic systems monitoring
Exposure to systems running 1+TB Oracle databases
HP-UX 11 administration
Experience understanding and implementing security concepts
Hitachi HDS drive arrays
Apple X-Serve RAID arrays
Shell scripting
