Network Engineer Needed

We have an immediate need for an industry driven network engineer in the Phoenix, AZ area for a rapidly growing Microsoft Gold Partner. We prefer a candidate who has ample experience in the small business and corporate world, as well as experience in a consulting firm.

General Skills Required

The ideal candidate must be a self-motivated, creative problem solver who has superior verbal and written skills. This person will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide array of network types in addition to senior level phone support. This person must be flexible in working on a variety of projects and technical support needs while keeping a professional attitude and a customer service frame of mind.  They must also posses the ability to work in a fast pace, growing environment while maintaining the initiative to complete tasks with minimal supervision. The candidate must demonstrate excellent time management and communication skills due to the support demands and diversity of this position. The nature of this career will require periodic interaction with the Management and Executive Staff of many of our clients.

The candidate must be able to work well with others and be a team player. There must also be a strong ability to demonstrate tact and sensitivity in a customer support situation while maintaining a professional and positive image. An ability to handle confidential client and company information will be needed, along with a strong drive to increase technical knowledge as standards in the industry change.

Job Duties

The candidate will be working with other engineers and support staff to not only maintain and repair networks on a daily basis, but will also be working diligently to foresee system and network failures in an effort to reduce client downtime and increase client productivity. This person will also handle senior level support calls to ensure client productivity is maximized through a trouble free technical environment.

Technical Skills Required

·         Strong technical understanding of Windows desktop and server  operating systems, Microsoft SQL, Exchange, and network environments.

·         Experienced in Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.

·         Perform trouble-shooting and analysis of corporate LANs.

·         Perform hardware and software upgrades to networked servers including operating system, applications, and utility programs.

·         Experience providing technical support in person and over the phone.

·         Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

·         Bring new ideas and methodologies to improve dept.

·         MCSE, A+, CCNA, or CCNP certified is preferred.

·         Experience working with Navision is preferred
