The primary responsibility of the Software Engineering Manager is to lead high-priority HCAP Engineering projects and initiatives. The Software Engineering Manager will lead the HCAP Requirements process. This will include collecting and validating feature requests from the global marketplace, working with the business team to ensure proper prioritization, and leading the effort to translate high-value requests into build-able and testable HCAP product requirements. The Software Engineering Manager will also act as a program manager for high-value HCAP Engineering deliverables such as product releases.Requirements Management:-Collect HCAP product requirements from the global market and the service groups.-Work with the HCAP business stakeholders and PMT members to prioritize requests.-Own and lead the process for translating prioritized requests into build-able and testable HCAP product requirements. -Ensure that resulting HCAP product requirements meet the needs of the customer base.-Launch the HCAP Engineering feature teams and ensure that HCAP -Engineering participants understand the spirit and details of the requirements.-Engineering Program ManagementTrack and status key HCAP Engineering deliverables.-Be a key stakeholder in critical load balancing and scheduling decisions that maximize the use of HCAP Engineering resources.-Ensure that all HCAP Engineering projects are efficiently delivering high-quality solutions.-Administrative Management-Administratively manage a significant number of direct reports.-Generate and deliver performance and compensation reviews.-Play a proactive role in the successful career growth of direct reports. -10+ years contributing to the development of leading edge commercial software solutions. -BS/MS degree in Engineering or Management, and/or equivalent experience-Advanced experience generating technical product requirements, including tight collaboration with both the field and engineering team members.-Demonstrated success in leading and managing large scale engineering projects and initiatives.-A strong appreciation for efficient engineering processes and cross-functional collaboration.-Exposure to and strong interest in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
