Manufacturing Test Engineer (3164) DescriptionThe Manufacturing Test Engineer position requires hands-on experience in the development and implementation of manufacturing testing processes and procedures for Functional Testing at the PCBA and System level.  We are also seeking an individual with a background in the generation of detailed testing procedures, including the development of associated test fixtures, test software, diagnostics, implementation training and continuous update/support of our contract manufacturers. The job responsibilities for the Manufacturing Test Engineer role are as follows: Participate in product design phase to insure DFT (design for testability) Develop and implement test fixtures, test software and procedures to insure product has been manufactured and configured correctly Adapt and expand engineering development test code with user interface acceptable for diagnostic troubleshooting during functional testing Specifies, justifies, and coordinates the acquisition of required test equipment Resolves technical problems associated with the manufacturing of the product line Reviews products/processes and advises management on all aspects cost reduction Assists with prototype debug and new product introduction to manufacturing Evaluates engineering changes to design to keep test fixtures and methods updated Evaluate contract manufactures Quality Data Reports and make recommendations for improvements in quality levels.Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields or equivalent experience Minimum of 7 year's experience as a manufacturing test or hardware design engineer with datacomm related products Knowledge of both hardware and software with the ability to work with Microsoft and Linux scripting languages JTAG, Visual Basic, LabView, and C++ experience a plus Must have solid background in manufacturing testing of electronic PCBA assemblies with high density of fine pitch SMT and BGA technology Must be able to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented atmosphere Previous experience in an electronic manufacturing environment Familiarity working with remote contract manufactures is a plus Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills*** Some travel required.
