MARCOM MANAGER

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

To manage all aspects of the Marketing Communications function at a high growth, global manufacturer of rugged mobile computers, including marketing collateral, tradeshows, advertising, corporate and product websites, email marketing and partnership program.  The position requires active collaboration with the Sales, Engineering and Product Management functions.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

· Manage day to day activities of MARCOM employees and contractors performing Web design, graphic arts, tradeshow logistics and other tasks.

· Manage budget process to link departmental budget to company priorities.

· Coordinate with company management in setting and implementing communications strategy.

· Develop concepts and copy for all marketing collateral including brochures, case studies, corporate literature and spec sheets.

· Define and enforce corporate branding and branding standards.

· Manage production of print collateral.

· Develop strategy of tradeshow presence across the following “vertical” and “horizontal” markets

· Work with Web Designer to develop concept, content and design of new web functionality, including corporate and product specific websites.

· Develop ‘roadmap’ for periodic Website updates that keeps the site ‘fresh’ while supporting corporate priorities.

· Manage email programs, including the setup and scheduling of email newsletter campaigns.

· Develop Advertising budget and strategy for ad placement in vertical market publications; write copy and work with graphic and web designer to design and display advertising.

· Evaluate and manage Partner co-marketing programs.

· Develop media relations strategy and budget, manage overall timeline for media relations activities and obtain approval from corporate management, lead writer in company and product messaging including press releases and media kits.

· Plan and execute all editorial campaigns, speaking programs, industry award submissions and industry analyst relations, coordinate media relations activities with corporate management.

· Develop customer specific sales materials for key strategic accounts.

 

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATION

 

· 5+ years progressive marketing communications experience in cross functional setting.

· Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator and other relevant software skills.

· BS/BA degree.

· Experience in the enterprise technology industry, preferably in the rugged computing space.

· French Language skills a plus.
