Marketing Product Manager

Location: Mountain View, CA.
3 months Contract-To-Hire. (it is  a permanent opening with the client at the end of 3 months).

Job Description

The Product Marketing Manager will report to the VP of Marketing at the client site,
a fast-growing company which makes intelligent switches with integrated
storage management and virtualization services.   This person is responsible
for developing compelling outbound marketing content for end users and
channel partners---including solution guides, white papers, success stories,
sales training, sales guides, end user presentations,  contributed articles
and other key marketing deliverables to target mid-sized to large
enterprises.  Manage and execute end user webinar program, including
developing presentations on relevant topics such as disaster recovery,
virtualization.

Requirements:

5-10 years of product marketing experience
Product expertise in networked storage (iSCSI and Fibre Channel SAN),
servers, and/or networking infrastructure
Experience with Enterprise/Mid Market customers (1000-5000 employees)
Solid understanding of storage applications, backup, disaster recovery,
server consolidation and virtualization. Deep knowledge of VMware a plus.
Proven track record in developing compelling content such as white papers,
solution guides, success stories, sales guides, presentations, and training
materials.
Superb writing/communication skills a must.  Ability to translate raw
content into compelling outbound marketing materials.  Powerpoint skills to
independently produce polished-looking slides.
Demonstrated ability to bring thought leadership to marketing deliverables
and communicate at the solution level vs “speeds and feeds” approach.  .
Responsible for managing and executing webinar program, including
development of  outstanding webinar materials.
Provide excellent Product Marketing support to the sales team.
Self-starter with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial
environment.
Flexibility to take on other special projects as needed.
Expert at competitive analysis and developing selling against the
competition materials.
Proficient user of MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel, GotoMeeting (or WebEx).
Experience with salesforce.com, Adobe Photoshop, and other graphic
applications a plus.
