Material Handler - Warehousing/Production

Job Title: Material Handler (Demanufacturer) – Up to 12 Positions Currently Open

Environment: R3 Technology is located within the Lenexa Meritex subsurface business park occupying a 36,000+ sq ft facility with an open office environment. Business Casual Dress Code for Meet & Greet employees, Jeans for warehouse personnel. Our space maintains an annual average temperature of about 70 degrees. R3 Technology is a small, aggressively growing company currently employing 11 employees with expectation to double its size by mid-2008.

Business Summary: R3 Technology provides Asset Disposition and eWaste demanufacturing/recycling.

 

There are 12 positions open at this time. Prior experience is not required for any of our open positions. However, the ability to govern oneself through self management, common sense and the ability to work well with others will be critical characteristics we will look for.

 

General Requirements:

 Ability to work within a dynamic, fast paced environment by adapting to new policies, priorities and meet deadlines on a constant basis as the company grows.Overtime work will be required during weekend events, client projects, etc.Full use of hands will be required. Individuals will be using hand and power tools.Handle Assets, Up to 35Lbs, more with assistance.Bending/Stooping on frequent occasion.Individuals will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment to the best of their ability given the dynamic environment we operate in. Must be able to manage time very well MUST have the ability to adapt and handle stress in an effective and productive manner.Reliable transportation absolutely required!Standing for long periods of time. Up to 80% of the shift will include standing, bending/stooping and walking. Wearing of safety glasses and gloves will be required. Some individuals will be required to wear 3M respiratory safety masks. The ability to visually distinguish color, depth, adjust focus and have good peripheral vision is required. Occasional Interaction with the public will be required. Customer drop-offs, offsite eWaste recycling events, Customer pickups, etc.  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished orally or in writing. Specifically those relating to safety procedures.



 

Material Handler (Demanufacturing)

 Demanufacturing/Recycling – Breaking down electronic assets into their separate resource components (Commodities). i.e. Metals, plastics, motherboard, power supplies, hard drives, etc. for the purpose of recycling.The ability to identify different basic commodity types, i.e. Plastic, Steel, Aluminum, etc., is required. Training will be provided to indentify more complex commodities beyond this.Use of power & hand tools will be required. Frequent area and work surface cleanup is required during and at the end of each shift.Palletize and shrink wrap large commodities.
