Our company is seeking a mid to high level mechanical design engineer who would enjoy working on diverse and challenging products. We seek individuals who have high creativity balanced with strong engineering fundamentals. Our core strength is in electronic packaging however we also do significant work in the consumer product and medical device fields. The individual we seek is a collaborative team player however must be also an outstanding individual contributor to the projects. Strong 3D CAD skills are required. We are engaged in all phases of product development from ideation to conceptual design through end product realization and full life cycle support. We seek an individual with outstanding verbal and written communication skills as frequent client interaction is part of the job.

 

Requirements:

BS in Mechanical Engineering is required with MS in Mechanical Engineering preferred. A minimum of 5 years experience is required (7 years preferred) in positions of increasing responsibility. Ideal candidates will have experience in mechanical design and analysis as applied to electronic packaging, small mechanism design and/or consumer product design. Analytical expertise is required in the ability to accurately execute classical hand calculations of stress, strain, deflections and thermal analysis. Backing this up with FEA expertise would be a plus. The individual must be proficient in the use of ProEngineer or Solidworks software. For legacy client work, experience in I-DEAS would be an asset. Knowledge and experience in design of molded, cast and sheet metal parts is required along with related process understanding. High levels of creativity and a collaborative nature are required to work productively as part of multifunctional design and engineering teams. Sound verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are required as this position will require frequent contact with our clients on a technical and business level.
