Microsoft Exchange Engineer

The Microsoft Exchange Engineer’s role is to performthe following services: installing, configuring, architecture, upgrading, andmaintaining customers' Exchange Environments, as well as planning and coordinating the implementation of Microsoft Active Directory.

 

Exchange migrations top the list of projects at this firm; solid knowledge of migrating various configurations of exchange and other mail systems to Exchange 2007 is critical.

Responsibilities/Duties: Configure Exchange production and quality assurance environments in preparation for expansion and integration with the other divisions of EPIQ. Develop and deliver documentation to ensure appropriate support Provide implementation and migration services Participate in the development, migration, and maintenance of customers Exchange Environments Participate in the planning, building, upgrading, and maintenance of Windows and Exchange architecture Understand and work within a formal change management framework Perform capacity planning analysis across computing platforms and disk subsystems Provide detailed documentation of all implementations, changes, and solutions

 

Required Skills: Exchange Migration Experience Experience with Exchange Migration tools, such as Quest. Effective verbal and written communication Ability to work independently Sense of urgency and ownership High regard for potential effects of actions to the business and its customers Expert knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 server In depth knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server In depth knowledge of high availability messaging solutions Multiple Domain Architecture TCP/IP; DHCP; WINS; DNS and other networking protocols Minimum of 7 years experience in IT. Experience with Exchange should date back to version 5.5
