Multiple Security Administrator Openings in Lansing

Our client, a Lansing area Healthcare Organization is in the process of establishing an entire Security team from the ground up.  Positions are Contractual with the potential to convert to permanent hire based on individual performance.  Looking for a mix of PC, UNIX and Mainframe Security professionals.  The Security team will be charged with protecting computer assets across the entire organization by establishing and enforcing system access controls and maintaining disaster preparedness.

Duties:

* Establishes system controls by developing framework for controls and levels of access, recommending improvements whenever possible.

* Manage access to systems by providing information, resources, and technical support to Internal Customers, Technical Staff and external service providers.

* Ensures authorized access by investigating improper access; revoking access; reporting violations; monitoring information requests by new programming and recommending process improvements; including changes to policy and procedure where required.

* Uphold and enforce Corporate computer and terminal physical security by assisting in developing standards, policies, and procedures. 

* Safeguards data by performing regular backups; developing procedures for source code management and disaster preparedness.

* Develops security awareness by providing orientation, educational programs, and on-going communication with internal and external systems users.

Skills/Qualifications:

Looking for individuals that have a background in development of Information Security Policies, System Administration in one or more of the following areas; Server 2003, UNIX and/or Mainframe. 

It would be helpful if incumbents had exposure to Network Security on a SAN and experience with Firewall Administration, Network Protocols, Cisco Routers, Hubs, and Switches.

CISSP and previous Healthcare environment experience is preferred, not required.
