Description of Role:

 

The National Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating sales leads for our outside sales team through outbound calling.  This position places a premium on the ability to find the decision makers within an organization and convey BEW Global’s portfolio of products and services to these prospects, prioritize for further follow up and set first meetings for the outside sales team.  Other duties will include recording results of conversations in contact management software and providing regular status reports of lead generation activities and results. 

 

Essential Functions:



· Actively and energetically initiates outbound calls to suspect/prospects.

· Success will require making at least 30 – 50 calls per day.

· Effectively offer BEW Global portfolio of solutions to key decision makers.

· Present key selling points/features and benefits.

· Maintain and track leads using CRM software (CRM training provided).

· Persistence, tenacity, ability to overcome obstacles.  Strives to achieve goals.

· Delivers benefit statements and handles objections.

· Collaborate with the Field Sales team on sales strategy.

· Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of products, competitors and industry trends.


Qualifications:



· Aggressive self starter with a great attitude and strong organizational skills.

· Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a changing environment.

· Manage/overcome prospect objections.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· A passion for technology and ability to relate technology to business.

· Knowledge of Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.  SalesForce.com a plus.

· 4 Year College degree preferred but not required.

· 1 + Years of experience in outside or inside sales preferred.

· Energetic, enthusiastic and reliable.

· Excellent telephone etiquette.

· An aptitude for learning is a must.

· Team player is a must.

· Driven for success.

 

Compensation:

 

· Base Salary Starts: $30,000 annual

· 90-Day Review Eligible for Raise to $32,500  annual

· 180-Day Review Eligible for Raise to $35,000  annual

· Annual Review:  Eligible for Raise, amount to be determined by performance

· Commissions - Annual Target $27,000

· Performance Bonuses – Quarterly and Annual - $12,000

· Annual On-Target Earnings (OTE)  $62,000 (does not include bonuses)

Expectations:

 

We know that new business development and the associated cold calling is challenging and can be a difficult position to maintain.  Our goal is to move a inside sales person to an outside national account sales position or another position within twenty-four (24) months, unless the person would like to stay at the inside sales position. We are looking for a two-year commitment to this position.  Our most recent inside sales person is now an outside sales representative earning over $100,000 annually.  The National Business Development Manager is a great opportunity for an individual to join the BEW Global team, get to know the business, develop a customer base and launch into a National Account Manager position.
