Network Administrators

STG is a Preferred Vendor for the State of Michigan in Lansing. The State is looking for 3 Network Administrators to do the following: Install, configure and maintain organization's network. Build networks and maintain external and internal web presence, and administer the networks. Perform system backups on its internal and external web network servers. Design and support server system(s) and supporting software.

Network Administrators with 1-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Must have Cisco CCNP/CCNA certification.

Contractors will perform as LAN team members and will be responsible for the timely delivery of all project plan tasks. Deliverables for this project include:

Production of standard documentation packages for managed LAN adoption projects

Production of Remedy Change Requests (CR) from standard templates and life cycle management of those CRs

Production of SMMS requests for change (RFC) and life cycle management of those RFCs

Installation and testing of Cisco switches and other equipment per engineering diagrams and plans

Modification of monitoring and access control systems associated with newly installed equipment to established standards

Production of weekly status reports to team leads and management

Deliverables will not be considered complete until the Managed LAN team lead or Data services manager has formally accepted them.
