Network Designer

General Qualifications Degree Preference: Prefered Certification Requirement: Assignment Designing network infrastructure to support all of the client . Projects will include development projects and smaller efforts, work orders. Responsibilities include meeting with customers to develop network requirements, developing scopes of work (RFP), and designing networks to satisfy customer needs while complying with the client's network design standards. This individual will provide third level technical support to other maintenance groups supporting a large customer community. This individual will be responsible for proficient use of diagnostic tools for both proactive and reactive problem handling. Primary Responsibilities 1) Designing network infrastructure to support all of the client. Required General Skills 1) Excellent comunicaitons skills, both written and verbal 2) Excellent trouble shooting and problem determination skills 3) Outstanding customer service and phone skills. 4) Proficent with MS Word, Excel & Visio. Proficency with MS Access and Project a plus. 5) Ability to be successful in a team envrionement Required Technical Skills 1) Network Designer - Expert with 4 year(s) experience. Experience in designing and implementing Wi-Fi networks. 2) Network Designer - Expert with 3 year(s) experience. Experience in designing and implementing changes on Corporate Networks (Greater Than 1000 users) with multiple locations. 3) Network Designer - Expert with 4 year(s) experience. Network Protocols: IP (required), EIGRP, etc. 4) Network Designer - Expert with 4 year(s) experience. LANs Ethernet: Shared, Switched, Fast, Gigabit 5) Network Designer - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience. WANs - Point to point circuits (Fractional T-1, T-1, T-3): VPNs Preferred Technical Skills 1) Network Designer - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience. Experience with Retail Sales a plus. Specifically the back office systems and protocols that support Point of Sales Terminals, Cash Registers and Credit Card Processing 2) Network Designer - Intermediate with 1 year(s) experience. Experience with Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliance 3) Network Designer - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.
