We are seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer I to ensure stability, integrity, and optimal performance of the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, network gear, LANs, WANs, and wireless networks. The Network Engineer will:

 

·  Design, install, optimize, monitor, maintain, and support network hardware, software, and communication links

·  Ensure high availability, high throughput, efficient operations, and secure computing environments

·  Work closely with team members to provide assistance, guidance, and mentoring as necessary

·  Implement and enforce information systems security policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures

·  Maintain responsibility for physical and information protection including asset protection, access control systems, video surveillance, network security architecture, and network access

·  Architect, secure, and maintain server images

·  Create and maintain support and training documentation and provide training/awareness to employee base

 

Candidates must have B.S in computer science or related field (equivalent work experience accepted in lieu of degree), 3+ years IT experience and 2+ years experience supporting one or more of the following core systems: Windows 2003 Server Operating System, Active Directory, Group Policy, and /or a global e-mail solution. Experience with patching and/or software distribution tools, 1+ years experience with network management practices, and 1+ years experience supporting switching infrastructure is also required, and candidates must be actively seeking or maintaining current Windows Certifications.

 

To be successful in this position, candidates will need strong interpersonal communication skills, excellent customer service focus, strong analytical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to effectively manage and support projects in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. The availability to provide off-hours support on an on-call rotation is required.
