Network Operations Center (NOC) Data Ceter Engineer

Top Midtown Manhattan Law Firm has an immediate need for a Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to work in our data center. This is a full time permanent position which offers a good base salary, excellent benefts, the shift you will be working is Wednesday - Saturday 2PM - Midnight, the schedule is 4 days on & 3 days off.PAID OVERTIME, a very positive work environment, & a huge amount of growth. Requirements include experience in a large Data Center (300+ Servers), an MCSE is a huge plus but not a requirement, a Bachelors Degree is a huge plus, Citrix is also a huge plus. Other requirements are Blackberry Support, Exchange Support, and Basic Windows Infrastructure.

The Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer is a mid-level engineering position that is responsible for every aspect of the day-to-day operations of the Firm's global network, data center local area network, servers, computing infrastructure, as well as the integrity of the Firm's data and application run-time environments. The NOC is the only group in I.S. that is staffed 24 x 7 x 365 days a year.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of network operations experience in a midsize to large environment. Good incident management, communication, and troubleshooting skills are essential. Experiences supporting all aspects of a Microsoft Windows network including Microsoft and third-party applications, Windows servers, WAN, and LAN connectivity is required. This individual will be expected to assist users and other I.S. personnel over the phone and via e-mail. Customer service and prompt attention to user needs is expected.
A willingness to work any shift, including weekends and holidays, is expected. The candidate will have a regular shift schedule, but will be expected to assist with coverage when other engineers are unavailable.
Necessary skills:
** Incident management
** Excellent troubleshooting
** Windows NT 4.0, 2000, and 2003 support experience
** Exchange 2000 support experience
** Blackberry 3.6 and 4.x support experience
** Citrix and RSA support experience
** BackupExec experience
** Experience with network monitoring tools (MOM, What**s Up, PRTG)
** Basic network troubleshooting skills (ping, tracert, nslookup, etc.)
** Knowledge of Windows infrastructure services (WINS, DNS, Active Directory)
** Resourceful and able to work without direct supervision
** Excellent writing and telephone communications skills

Desirable skills:
** Law firm support experience
** Basic Microsoft SQL 7, 2000, and 2005 support experience
** OpenText DOCSOpen support experience
