Network Support / UNIX / LINUX

Location: RTP, NC 27703 Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Third Shift Consultant needed to provide problem detection, isolation, and resolution for 2-3 IVR (Interactive Voice Response) platforms and their associated applications and customer voice traffic in a 7x24 Operations center. The successful candidate should be able to: resolve complex problems quickly and methodically in a fast paced atmosphere; work well independently and as a functional part of a team; communicate promptly, accurately and courteously with management, support teams, and customers; handle multiple tasks while prioritizing effectively; and maintain professionalism and composure at all times.  UNIX / LINUX PROFICIENCY and experience is mandatory as the position requires IN-DEPTH UNIX / LINUX skills and experience comparable to filling a SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR role. Three years experience in a tiered support Operations environment with experience supporting IVR BASED APPLICATIONS and familiarity with the Remedy ticketing system. The candidate should have experience with numerous software and operating systems (including Sun Solaris OS, Linux, Unix, basic Cisco IOS, and HP-UX) and a broad spectrum of communications equipment (including Cisco routers, Cisco switches, Cisco PIX firewalls, Cisco LBAs, Nortel Alteon LBAs, Nortel switches, Sun Servers, IBM stand-alone and blade servers).
