Job Responsibilities:

·  Tune, optimize and monitor the database clusters and instances to achieve optimal performance in meeting defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements).

·  Implement various database schema changes in instances and maintain those changes through strict configuration management.

·  Assist in the definition and execution of release strategies for versioned changes to roll out across development, staging, pre-production and production tiers.

·  Provide direct release management support to development and testing teams for their database needs.

 

Job Requirements:

·  Five or more years working as a DBA in an Oracle environment.

·  LINUX system knowledge sufficient to configure, maintain and monitor an Oracle instance(s).

·  Demonstrated knowledge of clusterware to support 24 X 7 high availability database environments.

·  Demonstrated knowledge of replication technologies (DataGuard, Streams, GoldenGate, and 3rd party) to support synchronized database environments.

·  Demonstrated proficiency of SQL and query optimization.

·  Effective verbal and written skills.

·  Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.

·  Red Hat Linux.

·  Oracle 10g or 11g experience.

·  Cluster / RAC experience.
