Oracle Database Developer

Our direct client is looking for an Oracle Database/ETL Developer for a perm opportunity in NJ.

Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Loader, Unix and any ETL tool are required for this position.

The Sr. Oracle Database Developer/ ETL Developer will participate in Oracle database and ETL projects, design, development, implementation, enhancements and release of database code. The individual will be responsible for all aspects of requirement analysis, database logical/physical design, application development using PL/SQL in 9i/10g, create ETL mappings and performance tuning of the applications.

In-depth knowledge of logical/physical database design and strong development experience in Oracle PL/SQL and Oracle Utilities
ETL expertise using Data Stage TX or Informatica is required
Shell scripting expertise is highly required
Thorough understanding of application development life cycle
Must be a self-starter requiring minimal direction, should possess excellent communication skills, and be a strong team player
Review Software Design Specification documents and develop a comprehensive understanding of user requirements
Maintain and enhance existing applications
Be comfortable with fast paced schedule driven development cycles
Create technical documents to support the implementation

BS in Computer Science or equivalent
At least 8 years of extensive development experience on Oracle database is required
Extensive ETL experience with Data Stage TX or Informatica
Extensive experience in writing Oracle procedures, functions, packages & triggers using Oracle PL/SQL
Extensive experience using SQL*Loader and Oracle Utilities
Extensive Shell Scripting
Excellent verbal and written skills
Some experience on Business Objects
Detail oriented, strong analytical skills and resourceful in issue resolution
Must be driven, self-motivated and independent
Strong communication skills
