ORACLE FUSION / EMERGING TECHNOLOGY PROJECT MANAGERRegular Full-Time This is an exciting new position with Panduit Corporation, a global manufacturing leader in Network Connectivity and Wire/ Cable Management Solutions in Tinley Park, IL. With steady double-digit annual growth to $750 million in sales, Panduit sets to break ground on our new World Headquarters this Spring of more than 250,000 square feet, four miles from its current Tinley Park location (Chicago, IL suburb). The new PANDUIT headquarters will be created based on a technically intelligent building design, continuing Panduit's initiatives for best-in-class technology services to staff and to customers. This position will also offer relocation expenses and H1B Visa transfer capabilities to qualified candidates.Overview:The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and hands on expertise in the research and deployment of emerging technology solutions for Panduit’s current and future business applications. The prospective candidate must have detailed experience utilizing S.O.A. and Oracle Fusion. Specific Duties: Investigate and research emerging and newer technologies in support of Panduit's technology roadmap and business applications. Maintain up-to-date knowledge with relevant current and emerging technologies by tracking key vendor directions and strategic technology roadmaps. Document and present proposals for viable (applicable) technology improvements. Develop and execute technology viability assessment plans as reference prototype/ proof of concepts or through pilot projects to prove usefulness in solving key business issues. Recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and system flexibility for current and future business application projects. Build a framework for these technologies that provide flexibility to meet the constant flow of change within the business. Review proposed and existing IT projects and recommend appropriate proven technologies. Contribute to the definition of timetables and cost estimates for new technical aspects of projects. Mentor and train IT Applications staff members on the use of new technologies, including methods and standards for application of the technology. Stimulate interest in these technologies, indicating the values and potential applications for them. Provide architectural and technical expertise, direction and assistance during the development life cycle. Job Requirements: 5+ years of experience and a Bachelors degree in a related technical area or equivalent. MS, MCS or MBA preferred. Demonstrated experience contributing to the creation of technology-related best practices and processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to a diverse audience. In-depth knowledge and recent hands-on experience with multiple technology platforms.Previous experience performing a lead role in the development and implementation of technical standards and platforms. Former IT Project Management experience is ideal. Previous experience consulting on the technical design of high-impact, multi-technology complex applications. Experience in providing consulting and mentoring support to technology staff. Experience with multiple technologies in Unix, Windows, Windows Mobile and Linux environments In-depth expertise with the following technologies: Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Web Services, Application Integration Protocols, Application Frameworks, Portal and Web 2.0. In-depth expertise with the following languages, services and middleware tools: Java, PL/SQL, SQL, C/C++, HTML, DHTML, XML, JDeveloper, Developer, SOA Suite, Oracle Fusion, J2EE, SOAP, Ajax, WSDL.
