PC Field Maintenance/Desktop Support

We currently have a 6+ month contract opportunity for a Technical Analyst with a large client in Tampa. The candidate will need 2+ years of information systems experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Required Skills:Experience supporting and maintaining Point of Sale (POS) systems.Ability to correctly punch down twisted pairs wiring in data closets and floor jacks. Working knowledge of Symantec Ghost software Experience in the navigation of MCC Active Directory Users and Computers. Experience in identifying, troubleshooting and replacement internal computer components including: 
*Identifying/replacing various types of RAM
  * Hard drive replacements
  * Identifying/replacing Motherboards and other module devices Understanding of storage and shipping polices including:
  * Printing, labeling and tracking of computer equipment using FedEx
  * Inventory management and control which includes entering of all inventory received into centralized warehouse and scanned out with proper destination codes
  * Receiving large inventory shipments and organizing equipment in centralized inventory room Flexible work schedule to include late night, weekend and early morning shifts Experience in Desktop application troubleshooting including:
 * Working knowledge for Microsoft XP OS including registry troubleshooting.

The candidate must also demonstrate the following:Demonstrated technical and analytical skills, including the ability to understand and communicate highly complex technical information Good knowledge of networking (e.g., LAN/WAN) and/or computer (e.g., micro, mainframe) operations PC and desktop applications competency (e.g., Microsoft Office, e-mail, etc.)  Strong knowledge of information systems concepts Working knowledge of applicable methodologies, tools, standards and procedures Good interpersonal skills Critical thinking, decision-making and leadership aptitudes Good organizational and problem solving abilities
