PC Support Specialist I

Tampa General Hospital is an 877-bed academic medical center and the region's only Level 1 Trauma Center. TGH is accredited by JCAHO and is a Magnet designated hospital. We are currently seeking a PC Support Specialist.

 

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Installs new and/or expands existing PC-based computer systems.  Defines and maintains PC standards.  Analyzes and identifies PC-based problems and determine whether they are software, hardware or procedural.  Serves as an in-house consultant and coordinator, recommending PC hardware/software solutions to meet the needs of the users.  Evaluates and tests vender-supplied software packages for PC's to determine compatibility with existing systems.  Maintains logical and organized documentation of all PC-related software/hardware.  Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Technical training certificate and 2 years experience, or 4 years experience installing, configuring and supporting Personal Computers in a corporate environment.
