PC Technician with "Q" Clearance

ITR: Information Technology Resources is currently in search of an experienced Business Analyst with Strong QA Experience for our client located in Knoxville, TN.

The Business Analyst will serve the crucial role of understanding the customer's business processes and working with project managers, developers and customers to define requirements, translate and document them for the development team for execution, and create and execute test cases to ensure the project requirements have been met.  The successful candidate will be well versed in the use of modeling tools and techniques, be detail oriented in managing system requirements and possess the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to a wide audience.

 

10% to 50% travel to client sites may be required.

 

BA will work with Developers and business users to define business systems requirements and translate those requirements into specifications. Business Analyst may also assist in day-to-day project management tasks as assigned by the Program Manager.

 

1) Acts as the primary functional subject matter expert for the project team.

2) Represents the application end users and all associated functional requirements during application design.

3) Responsible for developing, analyzing and maintaining business and functional requirements for software application development projects, which includes detailed requirements documentation and process flows.

4) Supports the application design process through interaction and support of the application development team.

5) Works with end users to document required system functionality from a business perspective, and captures in documented form for customer and team usage.

6) Works with Developers and Project Managers to ensure required functionality is addressed in developed system.

7) Provides quality assurance support through the application testing phase.

8) Prepare test plans and scripts related to the software application projects.

9) Develops or works with technical writer to develop application user manuals and help guides.

10) Supports the implementation process, production deployment, and application support.

 

Requirements:

 

Must be a US Citizen

 

1)  Strong Analytical Skills, required:

· Assist in the management of Requirements Change Control Processes and Configuration Management Processes

· Ensure Traceability, Quality Assurance and Configuration Management for requirements through the SDLC and across the team

· Proactively communicates with design and development personnel work efforts to ensure understanding and adherence with customer requirements

· Decompose, refine and document requirements using a variety of graphical and textual techniques, to include Use Case Scenarios and Diagrams, Functional Requirements Specifications, Activity and Process Diagrams, and Data Dictionaries  and UML Modeling

· Develop Test Plans and Test Scripts, and perform test execution (2 years required)

2)  Core Consulting Skills, including:

· Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and writing skills

· Experience working directly with customers, including producing technical documentation and conducting technical presentations (2 years required)

· Proven ability to work in a team environment and provide technical team mentorship.

· Strong time management and organizational skills 

3)  Knowledge and understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience, including:

· Full project life cycle experience (requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, etc.) Consulting with clients to define needs or problems.

· Experience with change and configuration management

· Ability to analyze, evaluate and solve problems of a difficult process or technical nature with strong interpersonal and troubleshooting skills.

· Experience in process-oriented organizations (e.g., CMMi, ISO9000, Six Sigma) is a plus.
