PEOPLESOFT PROJECT MANAGER (Nationwide)
As an Oracle Certified Consulting Partner, Beacon Application Services Corporation is a project-oriented consulting firm specializing in the implementation and upgrades of PeopleSoft Enterprise Applications (Financial Management, Human Capital Management, Supply Chain Management). Since 1990, our goal has been to provide our customers with experienced PeopleSoft consultant project teams. Some of our consultants have been a part of Beacon for 15 years. Position Overview:
As a PeopleSoft Project Manager, you will be managing implementations of software systems conversions, integrations, and/or upgrades to client specifications and to Beacon’s standards. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Working with the Engagement Manager to establish project approach, and to set standards for reporting and deliverables
- Managing the project scope including costs, timeframe, constraints, milestones, and deliverables
- Generating an implementation plan including resource requirements, assignment breakdown, and task lists
- Implementing and administering project controls including status reports, change control, and issue resolution processes
- Testing, documenting, and training on all phases of the project
- Overseeing the team of resources that may include both Beacon and client personnel

Candidate must have demonstrated skills in the following areas as defined below.
Consulting Skills:
Proven ability to:
- Plan and execute projects within budget and timeframe parameters
- Balance, set, and manage client expectations and priorities
- Understand client’s business and systems requirements and offer suggestions for improving such processes
- Successfully handle project changes, issues, and risks
- Effectively communicate orally and in writing, in both individual and team settings
- Approach tasks in an organized and structured manner, and impart this knowledge onto the client and other Beacon consultants
- Build and maintain a positive rapport with the client and other Beacon personnel through team building and leadership skills
- Represent Beacon to clients and prospects in business presentations and individual interviews
Implementation/Technical Skills:
Has demonstrated skills and an in depth understanding in all of the following areas:
- Design and set-up of system infrastructure
- Use of reporting tools (nVision, Crystal, Query, SQR, etc.)
- Conversion processes, tools and interfaces
- Formal and informal training
- Planning and executing complex test systems
- System security
- Client-server technology
- Database skills (SQR, SQL, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, etc.)
- Project management software tools (Microsoft Project, Project Workbench, etc.)
Education/Experience Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree is a plus) and ten or more years related training and/or experience with PeopleSoft products, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Travel: No relocation necessary. Travel required.
